My Top 5 Wedding Tips
Hi y’all!
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! We had a cozy weekend at home baking, playing cards and watching Bridgerton! I wanted to share some of my top wedding tips that I either loved or wished I would have done! Send this to all those bride-to-be’s!
Getting Ready Earlier Than You Think
I would highly suggest this! On my wedding day we had lots of girls getting ready together (which was so fun), so they saved me for last. However, this caused a little bit of stress to rush, I wish I would have gotten ready in the middle of everyone to feel like I had lots more time!
First Look
I was hesitant to do a first look, but I am so glad we did! It was so amazing to have a moment of just us two before the whole day got crazy. It also helped us get rid of nerves and all the butterflies… well maybe not all of them!
Pictures, Pictures, Pictures
I think pictures are one of the most important parts to your wedding! It is how you are going to look back and remember all the special details, people and moments that made your day so special! One of my biggest tips would be to write out all of the pictures you want and discuss them with your photographer before hand! From family pictures, friend groups within your bridesmaids, to your tablescape. Make sure your photographer knows all the fun and special shots you want!
Inspiration Board
I think this is something you should do as soon as you start planning! Find your Pinterest wedding album and put together a mood board of what you love! Make sure you add color scheme, dress styles, ceremony spot, etc! Don’t be afraid to draw out any original ideas you have also! This way when you are talking to your vendors you have pictures/drawings to help describe what you are going for.
Make Your Details Special
One of my favorite parts of wedding planning was thinking of ways to have special details that show who Samuel and I are. From signature drinks, fun cocktail napkins, program books with your story on it. Be creative and make your wedding all about you! Honestly, there’s so many things now I think of that I would add! Maybe that’s just me though! ️️️️Hehe!
