Autumn in Maine

Hi y’all!

I am so excited to share more from our fall foliage trip up east. If you missed my first blog about our time in Vermont, click here to read that post.

Maine was beyond beautiful in so many ways. Since we rented a car, we were able to drive up and down the coast to explore several different towns. We stayed in Portland at the Portland Harbor Hotel, which was so nice and a great location. As soon as we got to town, we went to visit the Portland Head Lighthouse. It looked just like a postcard! So beautiful! Sadly, we only had one evening to explore Portland but we made the most of it! Dinner at Portland Lobster Co. was a must on our list and it was so fun to try a lobster roll. We loved getting to explore the harbor and walk around downtown to see the adorable shops.

The next day in Maine we headed up the coast to Bar Harbor. We heard this town was a must when in Maine, and now we know why! We strolled up and down the main street and stopped in almost every store. From trying Whoopie Pies, grabbing a hot chocolate and walking through book stores and even stopping in a cute little Christmas store. Bar Harbor was the most precious town! After our morning of exploring, we headed to Acadia National Park. The park is so gorgeous this time of year. We hiked a few different trails, (Ocean Path Trail and Jordan Pond) which was very refreshing after all the desserts we had consumed on our trip! Ha! Driving around Acadia was so beautiful. I kept trying to take pictures, but it just didn’t do it justice! The drive was pretty far from Portland, so it was a late night driving back to our hotel.

The next day was our final day in Maine. We woke up early and headed to Kennebunkport to explore and oh my goodness this was the cutest town ever! I think we could have stayed for another week just here! It was so cozy, with the cutest shops and restaurants. We got breakfast at Mornings in Paris and it was delicious! This town goes all out for fall and it shows! Every store and house was decorated so cute for fall. We walked up and down the town and drove through the neighborhoods to try to soak it all in. I would highly recommend staying here for a quiet weekend away.

Here are some of my favorite pictures from our trip!

Maine was everything I hoped it would be and more! I hope you all enjoyed this post. Let me know if you have any questions and make sure you check out my youtube video coming this Wednesday!

Much love,

SKP
