Getting to Know SKP! ☺️
Hi y’all!
I hope everyone is having a great week! I was thinking that I have never done a get to know me blog post. I thought it would be so fun to share a few “fun facts” about me so we can all feel a little more connected around here. 😉
I am married to my High School sweetheart and we are living our best lives hehe! We just bought the cutest little house and we are having so much fun making it our home. Our one year anniversary will be this June!
I don’t like coffee! Everyone is SO shocked when they find out I don’t drink coffee - but I have just never liked it! My drink of choice would be a large dr pepper from sonic. 😉
My dream job growing up was to be an interior designer… honestly still sounds like a dream! 🙌🏻 This is so funny, but ever since I was little a way I would make myself fall asleep would be to start thinking about my dream house and exactly how it would look. LOL probably the only 12 year old who has notebooks full of house plans!
I LOVE to journal. This is something I have also done since I was so young. I have always been very emotional, and being able to write down how I was feeling has really helped me. I journal around 2 or 3 days a week. I think this is something everyone should try! I also love to write down my prayers. It is amazing to be able to look back and see how faithful God is through our prayers!
Family is SO important to me! I have 3 sisters and we are all very close. We might all be different… but that doesn’t keep us from being best friends! I am so thankful we have only gotten closer as time goes on. I am also so thankful for my amazing parents who are the most supportive and encouraging!
I was a Kappa at the University of Arkansas and LOVED every minute of it! KKG till I D-I-E! 😉 But really, I made the best friends through Kappa and I am so thankful for my college experience! I wouldn’t change it for anything!
I can’t believe I am going to put this in here but I also want to get real with y’all… hehe. I still have a stuffed animal I sleep with!! HA! It is a little penguin I have had since I was 8. A funny story… when I was 16 (like for real 16!!) I left it at a hotel on accident. When we were driving back I remembered and started bawling - my mom thought someone had died. Luckily she is the best and called the hotel and they shipped him back to me. I still get made fun of for this one with my family. 😆
One of my favorite places I’ve been to is Kenya, Africa. I got to go on two mission trips to Kenya and it was some of the most amazing experiences. We got to share the gospel with the people there and make friendships that have lasted to this day. We also got to go to a safari and it was the most beautiful place! We did a hot air balloon ride at sunrise above the safari and it was for sure the coolest thing I’ve experienced! 🙌🏻
My dream place to live is somewhere on the east coast on the water with a sailboat. Eeeek we will see if this happens! Samuel and I both love being on the water, and he actually does have a sailboat! We used to go on it everyday in high school. I will have to find some pictures! 😉
Blogging has become one of my favorite hobbies! I love sharing recipes, home decor, fashion and travel things! I really hope this space leaves you with a smile, new idea or just feels like a girlfriend is talking to you! 💛I can’t wait to see where this little blog takes me! I have lots of dreams, just learning how to get there is what I am working on! So thankful for each of you!!
