Engaged...😍💍
Over thanksgiving break the most exciting thing happened... Samuel proposed!!
Let's start from the beginning... well of this day. 😉 We were in Tulsa celebrating Thanksgiving with my immediate family. I woke up on Sunday to find flowers and a card from Samuel on the kitchen table. Everyone said he was gone for a run, so I just thought he was being sweet.(Because he really is the best & does things like this all the time!) So I still had no idea what was going on! We had just finished eating breakfast - and Sam was still not back!! I was getting concerned, but no one else seemed to be.😁 Next thing I know my sister is handing me a present and another note. I opened it and it's a beautiful dress to wear and a note from Samuel saying how excited he was for today and wanted me to wear this dress. And thennnn, I realized what was going on & couldn't stop smiling. Throughout the morning of getting ready with my sisters, everyone from my family & his family had written me letters that I got to read. It was so special reading sweet words from the people we both care about most. Lots of prayers & kind words. ❤️
After everyone was ready we drove around (I had no idea where we were going.) We had to stop for a minute where they gave me one last card - from Samuel. I had been crying so many happy tears all day & all the tears came back after reading this one. Samuel is the most caring, intentional, loving person in the world. He loves Jesus, me & others SO WELL. Reading about his hopes and dreams for us and our future just really got me. 😢
They blindfolded me so I wouldn't see where we were, soon enough we got to Samuel, and he helped me out of the car. He helped me walk (still blindfolded😅), we approached a beautiful gazebo & I removed the blindfold. There were flowers everywhere & fun pictures of us throughout the years. We walked around and remembered some of our best memories. Then, we walked to an arbor that had flowers hanging on the back. I was crying, nervous, excited, & just feeling all the emotions. Samuel seemed so calm & sure of what he was about to do. He got down on one knee, & asked the best question ever! Of course I said YES! 😍 Then, our family all came running out to celebrate with us.❤️We spent the afternoon smiling & staring at the ring.(obviously!!)
We will be adding THREE boys to our family next year!!!!
My dad told Samuel that he is the man we had all been praying for our whole lives. I starting crying immediately. ❤️
Then we headed back to Fayetteville where we were surprised with the best engagement party! We walk into a room filled with all of our best friends + beautiful decorations.❤️ It was such a fun night celebrating with all of our best friends! ✨✨✨✨✨
December 1st will always be a really special day... but I'm reallly just excited for June 20th, 2020!! BEST DAY EVER!💕There's a million more pictures I want to just post all of them!!!
